This feels particularly apropos at the moment because my oldest, who just turned 21, is acting like an entitled shithead and I’m afraid to tell him because I don’t want to “push him away” (particularly when he already lives so far away), but SOMEBODY needs to tell him so he doesn’t keep on being a shithead. I’m going to have to do it, but I sure don’t want to.

I enjoyed your article very much. I loved the picture of you and your son. Enjoy doing things with him, because in a blink of the eye he’ll be grown and living elsewhere. My oldest child is now a busy trial attorney and we don’t get to do much together just he and I. But he still marks the Cleveland Guardians home opener off on his calendar and we go tonthat together. I am 65 and not sure how many home openers I have left. But I plan on going with him as long as he’ll go with me and I am physically capable of going.
