follow the money. repubs are basically bribed to embrace gunslinging. only way to change that would be to vote them out which won't happen in a land where even voting integrity is constantly under fire!
I just think keeping up the outrage -- which I am definitely still seeing -- is the key here. We can't let this one pass. (Though the way it's going, it won't be long until there's another one to be outraged about.)
I'm an hour away from Uvalde. Texas is close to becoming a blue state. If it weren't for gerrymandering and voter suppression, it would be. Curious things happen here. As a registered Democrat I showed up to vote and was told I was no longer registered to vote a few years ago. Yup! They do that here. There were also voting machines in Houston that people reported because they selected Beto O'Rourke and clicked through the other screens of candidates and when they clicked on 'Review your selections' the vote was switched to Ted Cruz. It's a mess down here. Greg Abbot and Ted Cruz aren't well liked and I hope women come out to vote and I hope everyone who is so sick and tired of mass shootings will come out to vote. I'm angry and it's not going away. And it shouldn't go away.
