Congratulations on the new book! I'm sure it's going to be as wonderful as the last one! Your pre-order request is most reasonable in light of all the free joy your weekly musings have brought me but my life is in one of my occasional financial derailments. My partner suddenly died a couple of months ago (breaking my heart and spirit) so cutting my household income significantly and my 63 year old disabled body is in one of its rebellious moods about part-time work as the cost of living here in Austin TX continues to explode. I've learned to get used to one meal a day and I pay for no indulgent media except for my $8 a month New York Magazine subscription b/c reading your current and archived output there is priceless and brings much joy even though I am vision impaired and it is difficult. I can promise I will absolutely harras (within legal limits) Austin Public Library to order copies of "The Time Has Come." Otherwise, how else would I get to read it? You see, even though I lost the genetic lottery, it's still all about me ha ha!
I must say, the kids "we want a dog please" video made me reflexively reach for my wallet (alas, it was empty). Thank you so much Will for bringing me such joy with your writing through the years (that TV interview show, uh, not so much). I have been blessed and I will try to do my teeny tiny part to pay you back because Karma.
Aw, thanks Will, that's very kind but let me encourage my local library to purchase your book (by the hundreds!) so I will have earned the right to read it. May GOD bless you always!
Of course I pre-ordered the book.
But there is no way in hell I am rooting for the Eagles tomorrow.
Fair, totally fair.
Definitely going to pre order the new book. Will send in my proof shortly.
Thank you, kindly. I do hope you like it.
3 ordered.
Now this is the greatest comment I've ever seen! (Thank you.)

Aw, man, I'm sorry you're going through a hard time. I can make sure to get you a copy when it comes out!

When reading the description of the book, I hear it being read in Olympia Dukakis’s voice from Steel Magnolias. Is that strange?
Ha, I don't know what that means, but I think I like it!
Count me in!
I thought Short Cuts was brilliant. My favorite scene was when the guy cuts up all his ex's clothes, puts them aside, and then has her carpet cleaned.
Q: Have you read James Frey's (novel!) Bright Shiny Morning? That reminded me of Short Cuts in a way.
I will send proof when purchased.
I haven't read it! I am generally pro James Frey, though. He actually blurbed "Catch!"
