Great article and thanks for sharing! I had these same thoughts this week, while watching my daughter give a presentation and texting my dad about how bad the Cardinals are. Getting my dad in the texting world has been great for our relationship.
Did you ever do a race with one of your boys in a stroller when they were younger? I've got a 5k with my 2 1/2 year old in a couple weeks and I'm a little nervous about his enthusiasm and my ability to listen to Farmer in the Dell 17 straight times.
We've been texting with our kids since they became teens and it's been a treat. We have a family chat where we share funny stuff from the internet and important family news, plus general logistical stuff whenever we're all in the same town and we need to arrange pickups and dinner times and the like. We also all do the Wordle every day and share our results. Sometimes that's the only text we'll get in a day from our kids when they're at college, but it's enough to know they're up and engaged. (I never have gotten the knack of texting with my own parents though. Our exchanges are mostly terse and informational.... though I like when they're on a trip and text pictures.)
OK, so this is a terrific idea. (And might help get this household through those early days of them being gone, which is closer to happening that anyone is willing to admit.)
A bunch of my fellow White Sox fans are acting like winning a division title and going exactly.500 were a "disaster" in two seasons and he ruined the vibe of the clubhouse. I dunno, maybe he actually knew what he was doing to some extent, and Grifol has no business running a clubhouse!!!
Thanks for the deleted scene. Now I’m really looking forward to the release. Got my preorder in.
Glad to hear this, thank you. My sales pitch on the excerpt is, "If you liked that, imagine all the stuff we kept IN!"

I'm pretty excited to see how this works with my son. Though right now I think the lousiness of the Cardinals is going to dominate every conversation.

I did! Honestly, they just loved zooming past people ...
I just finished a 5k with my 2.5 year old and he loved it. Just keeps asking to do another race. 🏃♂️
I had already put Naperville in my celebration so appreciate the correction! Looking forward to it. And GO KNICKS! Beat Miami.
Excited to see you there! And hey: Maybe that's the same night as Knicks-Celtics!
Lol *calendar*

“itanwithbleitch” is one of the all-time great Dugout names.
All Dugout references will get big, big mirth from me.
Sweet release! I could not locate a brewpub next door to the Andersons in Naperville to save my life.
Ha, yeah, sorry about that!
Thanks for the deleted paragraphs! Excited I'm trying to make contact with Changing Hands bookstore for a potential stop on tour in Tempe. 🤞
The Cards are just not playing well and it's completely disappointing.
Sad news today about Mike Shannon passing.
Very sad. I would *love* to do an event in Arizona!
Bring back Tony La Russa. This applies to multiple teams.
I'm not sure that's necessarily the healthiest thing for TLR ...
Nevermind, White Sox are back! Grifol has figured it out.

Good, Downer's is much better than Naperville and highly increases my chances of going
Excellent! And an Illini brewery across the street!
