I'm your age, from Nebraska, and never thought I would see the level of acceptance of "the gays" (the term used in my childhood) from not only the rest of the country but even my own family. It turns out, as you said, love wins.
Or, I suspect, there is a level of just people minding their own damn business.
A side question: I can't make The Cow on Sunday (we fly back to Germany that morning) but will be wandering around London on Friday and Saturday morning mentally preparing myself to watch the Cards play. If I see you, should we say hello (not a problem if you are reserving the other days to not be bothered by fans)?
A very good column. I would like to see the day when pride night's are a thing of the past because being gay or black or whatever isn't a thing anymore and you can just go watch a ballgame and nobody will give you grief ....as long as your rooting against the Yankees. I picked up the new book today at Rainy Day books in KC, I got the last one so you might want to talk to somebody. Take care.
