Great, warm piece! I love the description of the booth. That’s how I describe listening to Grierson & Leitch to people: it’s like you’ve been invited into the booth by these two buddies who love movies. Looking forward to Dorkfest!

You really nailed what a great conversation can be. I had one of those this week with a longtime friend, and even though we were discussing some really difficult things, it was easily the highlight of my week.

After dodging Covid for almost three years ,from the classroom to the football stadium ,it got me. Today was the first day I felt like reading anything. Thankfully, it was Soprano Home Movies. Well done.

Great piece about conversations with a friend. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a friend like that in a long time…

Love this post. Connecting with strangers or friends through a smile, kind gesture, or good conversation, is the best. Talking movies are my favorite. I get something new from My Dinner with Andre and the Before Sunrise trilogy each time I watch them. Lately I've been chuckling at Wallace Shawn's line, "When I was 10, I rode around in cabs, thinking about art and music. Now I'm 36 and all I think about is money!"
