Somewhat shocked that though you mention it as a spiritual partner to Oppenheimer and that it will be one of the movies we remember from this year, Barbie didn't make even your list of runners up?
It's good! We had a great discussion of it on the podcast! I think the best parts are great! I think all the Mattel stuff -- and the Will Ferrell stuff -- is pretty dumb and does drag down the whole thing. But still an excellent movie and one that everybody should see!
I agree with that part, for sure the worst part of the movie. I guess it's true that one of the more memorable films from the year doesn't mean it has to be one of the best. That's the 'conflict' that grabbed me but it makes sense. Thanks for another great column and hope for a very happy holiday season for you and yours.
