I know it's not really the point, but... if you have an SUV, you'll need that car to drive the kids to college/back with all their stuff (provided it's a driving distance you can handle) and you may even drive them to their post grad apartments in their new city. You may even have to get a hitch put on so you can get a U Haul trailer (mattresses in a box are great on the way to school, but you need another way to get it home. And no org will accept a used mattress donation).

My kids are recently post grad, close enough to visit a few times this summer, bringing a full SUV (and a U Haul, once) each time. I don't see us giving it up anytime soon.

Will, I don't know if we're ever going to get beyond a certain point. As much as I can't stand Peter Thiel, his interview with Ross Douthat of the New York Times was good. It's almost like he's channeling Jimmy Carter when he talked about stagnation and human nature. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/26/opinion/peter-thiel-antichrist-ross-douthat.html?unlocked_article_code=1.TU8.-2P4.cZhzEyhIgpU8&smid=url-share

Will’s thoughts reminded me of this talk from Kara Lawson https://youtu.be/oDzfZOfNki4?si=mQIFH1-Owf0lxmr9. Appreciate the perspective.

2 Bulwark links this week and as someone who at 25 spent every minute despising NeoCons but now eagerly seeks out everything Bill Kristol writes or appears on (the man is truly a delight and oooh boy is 25 year old me perplexed by seeing today me say that) I have to say I support it!! 😀

I finished "Lloyd" and reviewed it on Goodreads and Amazon. Your best book yet.

Life is to be lived.

I’ve recommended What Is The What to all my friends and family. Actually, anything by Dave Eggers.
