Just want to say that in the glut of coverage regarding a certain odious ESPN story, I had no idea a long-dormant part of my brain would immediately and automatically append "—Norby!—" to every mention considering it's been, I don't know, 17 years?
This is great (although I still had the upper hand at FIFA against my 21-year old over the break, so I've still got it)! The older I get (I'm about the same age as you, Will) the more I realize that it takes hard work not to become a throw-the-controller-across-the-room person.
70+ - Cable tv company went out of business Tuesday FORCING "change" & "adaptation" to streaming - every day is a battle between resisting/embracing stupid (kidding, maybe) "change".....
Love this. So relatable, and so true: the crux of the issue is people's reluctance/refusal to change. Tom Scocca's story is harrowing.
Thanks! It's basically the main thing I'm thinking heading into 2024.
Well played Will.
Thanks!

Ha, yeah, I've been doing this ALL WEEK.
Is William dressed as 90's/2000's Will?
I never beat my teenage gamer son at any game - I feel your pain. I am most amused by NBA2K24 programming a point guard to cry - brilliant!
I find it rather remarkable that I still, each time I sit down to play, believe I might just have a chance this time.

I actually beat him today with the Suns over the Cavs. Last second jumper by Durant!
Congrats, now “lose” the controllers!

Ha, I hear you!
